Ever have one of those days?

I knew Friday would be an experience right off the bat.

The very first thing, I tipped the trash over, after already dumping the coffee grounds into it. Cleaned that up, no big deal. Stuff happens.

After my bath, I just could not get dry. This was the kind of morning where the humidity is so oppressive that you can't get dry without stepping outside in the wind naked. (good thing we live in the country, we don't want the neighbors to become ill at 5 am) Instead of that I opened the bathroom window and took off my towel, throwing it into the hamper. But half of the towel landed in the toilet. Great.

Rinsing the facial cleanser junk off my face, I noticed my feet were getting wet. Did I spill something else? The drain was leaking....brush teeth in other bathroom. Forgetting that I left the first bathroom window open, the cat gets out. Have to retrieve her by running through the yard in my second towel of the day before daylight...

Breakfast went without incident. Surprising.

The Mr. takes me to the company car in town, so I can drive to work. (at this point I'm wondering if I should drive anywhere today) Since we had storms last night, there were leaves stuck all over the car. AND I had just washed the car on Wednesday! Then, realizing that I had left my cell phone at home, I had to swing back by the house to pick that up.

Arriving at work everything went pretty smoothly until a plethora of trouble calls started coming in about voice mail. Apparently the storms the night before had knocked it out. System wide...

But the 4 hours at work went by pretty quickly. Yes I said 4 hours. I took half a personal day so that my sister and I could take Mother to her great-granddaughter's high school graduation. (more on that soon)

It turned into a very long day, but we survived. Somehow.
