I've been feeling down lately since my brother has been ill. My sister is staying with my sister-in-law while my brother remains in the hospital physical therapy ward. My sister calls every evening with a report and last night it was a good one. She said that my brother had a GREAT day. In physical therapy he had unwrapped the beautiful tie dyed t-shirt he had made the day before. It was exciting to see how it had turned out. He played broom soccer with three other patients and my sister said he laughed and laughed and laughed. Not only good physical therapy but wonderful therapy for the soul. The therapists had him stand up with parallel bars and that's a new thing. We so hope that he will be able to stand and maybe walk with a walker, eventually. My nephew John is moving home from Washington D.C. next week to help. Some muscle will be needed when my brother comes home. A young man that played on the Jr. High team coached by my brother several years ago that won the state title came by to see him. And my brother may be changing his mind about chemo and radiation. They had been leaning toward not having it. I had hoped he would try it and maybe he will. It's ultimately his decision. Anyway, I'm feeling better about everything today. We're taking Mother to see him on Sunday. That's my brother and sister up there with our dog Velvet. Looks like he was having a good day.
