My rear end is sore

Yeah I know what you're thinking and it's not like that at all.

We drove the 85 miles to see the Hank Williams play on Sunday in the basement of The Methodist Church in Sayre, OK and the play was really good. But we sat in folding chairs for 2 1/2 hours during this play. Then we squeezed back into the car for the 85 mile trip home. That's a lot of sitting.

I took a few photos of the set, with permission of course, for my brother the elected set builder for the Watonga Community Theater. He has moved away, but the director wants him to keep coming back to build sets and they paid him last time. The director wants to do the Hank Williams play in Watonga this fall, so she wanted my brother to see the set. We arrived at 2 with showtime being 2:30 (actually starting around 2:45) and the place was already getting crowded so I took photos. This was a shot of the cute little diner. The waitresses were very fun to watch, constantly wiping the counter, wrapping silverware or dancing and singing along to the radio. Their part was probably added by the director, she does that often.

Yesterday we had a 2 hour budget cut meeting at the company I work for. The only thing that really effected me was the fact that I'll have to work until I'm 68 to have the company pay for my husband's and my own health care until I die. It's good to have health insurance until you die, I just didn't expect to work until I was 68. What was I thinking? Sheesh! Doesn't everybody work until they're 70 these days?

But the trip to and from the meeting combined with another 2 hours in a folding chair has taken it's toll. I'm saddle sore.

On a final note, please say a little prayer for my son today. He's been having a tough time of it, and that makes it tough for us too. But we've been through hard times with him and because of him in the past and I'm sure that we'll come out on the other side of this too. One way or another.
