Saturday morning

The Mr and I were on our way to town Saturday morning for breakfast out, when my cell phone rings. Darned display on that thing just keeps getting smaller and I can't
really read who is calling before I answer anymore. Besides that, I have the home phone forwarded to my cell so that we won't miss any calls for our business (He drills and services water wells) and I don't take it off call forwarding at all anymore. Basically we have a home phone for that number, because it's in the yellow pages and our DSL comes in on it. Other than that, we don't use it at all. But anyway, my cell rings and I answer it and this is how the conversation goes:

me: Hello?

Strange guy: Hello, is this Terri?

me: Yes

Strange guy: Hi, how are you?

me: Fine, thanks....

Strange guy: Good, I just called to talk dirty to you for awhile.

me: I'm sorry, you have the wrong number.(WTF?!?)

Strange guy: Is this Terri _________?(insert last name of your choice here)

me: NO! (but it really is me and who is this pervert calling me?)

Strange guy: OMG! I'm sooooo sorry Ma'am! (Ma'am?) I didn't mean to insult you or anything! I was just trying to reach _________ _________ (the Mr, insert names of your choice)

me: just a minute... (after having let him sweat for a few moments about calling women at random to talk dirty to them and what the ramifications might be)

Then I handed the phone to the Mr. This guy is an old friend of ours and had called to visit. Since we'd not heard from him in such a long time, I did not recognize his voice. He and the Mr visited all the way to town. (about 20 miles or 20 minutes or so) He had the audacity to the the Mr that I need to lighten up! What!?! After all, I don't talk dirty on the phone with just anyone. So I told him that I'm gonna show him to the Internet and Internet, here he is. And by the way, he doesn't call random women to talk dirty with to them on the phone. And no I've never done that with him. Ok? All right then. Sheesh! The way people think some times! But honestly, he is such a talented guitarist and singer and it was wonderful to hear that velvet voice of his again. Maybe he could just call and sing to me sometime instead.
